See the included demo video.Like with any other Collings guitar, the fit/finish and craftsmanship on this one is about as close to perfect as it gets. It’s a versatile, punchy D-18 with plenty of low end and a really sweet upper register. The playability is excellent, and it has been played very little, so there is essentially no wear to speak of, other than just a tiny bit of fretwear on the first couple frets under the treble strings. The sound leaps off the soundboard on this guitar – no doubt it would make an excellent dread for bluegrass or other acoustic group settings! The D1 by Collings is a superb example of craftsmanship, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, making it an excellent choice for both strumming and fingerpicking.
