Description

This 1973 "Black Beauty" Les Paul Custom is super resonant and plays great with a replaced nut and frets for an updated feel; A welcome departure from the flat-wide Norlin frets that surely came on it. Players-grade condition with some finish touch-ups under the bridge, a top crack repair, and reamed tuner holes with extra screw holes that were filled and touched up. Some additional screw holes are hidden under the switch plate, and the strap buttons have been swapped. Despite these modifications, the guitar retains an impeccable aesthetic with the natural wear you'd expect from a well-loved instrument. It plays great with a comfy "C" neck and the original T-Top pickups sound incredible with a lively and articulate sound. Adding to the guitar’s allure is the possibility that it once belonged to Billy Jones of the Outlaws—there’s a label denoting "Jones" on the back of the headstock, and the former owner claims it was his. While we can’t confirm this with certainty, it adds a layer of intrigue. Includes hardshell case.
