This is not the average model, this is the Antique finish, hence the price.* This 2022 Eastman SB59/V-RB features a 1 piece mahogany body with a flame maple top, an Antique Redburst finish and Gotoh stopbar and ABR style bridge, a one piece mahogany neck with a Rounded “59” profile, a bone nut, and Gotoh Relic SD90 tuners, an Ebony fretboard with 22 frets, a 12” radius, and pearl crowns inlays, and these come equipped with the stock Lollar Imperial humbuckers. Also comes with Switchcraft output jack and switch, CTS 500K Audio Taper pots, and Sprague Orange Drop capacitors. I’ve waited so long to get my hands on one of these and am happy to report that they absolutely live up to the hype. I’m not a fan of referring to a guitar playing like butter. Maybe I’m just being contrarian ugh. But the fact is, that’s the way to explain this beauty. Just absolutely melts into your body with its superior playability and incredible resonance. It takes a certain LP for me to put it in true keeper territory. I’ve had 100 plus LPs, maybe more. I’d say 10 of those…. Maaaaaybe fit that category. This here is one of them.  Never mind the specs, the reputation of Eastman, and so on. Which is all legit. What’s got me super stoked is the finish. I love my CS, Nash, TMG, Boutiques, Partscasters type guitars. Specifically “Roadworn”/Relic/Distressed. I am in love with that stuff but all those companies take the relic process to the extreme. Which I obviously enjoy. But this guitar feels and looks like what an old guitar really tends to look like over time and that’s a really nice change of pace. All in all, I’m going to enjoy this thing as much as possible before someone snags it. And who knows, might have to swap this in for a different keeper.  The condition is Excellent. Expect general play wear and the factory relic job. Frets are in fantastic shape. Check pics. Has been cleaned up, frets polished, fretboard cleaned and conditioned, new strings. D’addario 10-46.
