Description

Joe Walsh is primarily associated with a guitar that has accompanied him throughout much of his musical career: a 1960 Les Paul. Walsh had two Paulas in 1968, but found the 60s far better than the other, which he consequently passed on to Jimmy Page. In 2013 the Gibson Custom Shop issued a replica of his 1960 Les Paul in a strictly limited edition, with only 50 of the “Aged & Signed” version being made. What's more, this guitar is one of the extremely sought-after and therefore certainly higher priced “single digits”, i.e. with a serial number below 10. It immediately catches the eye with its very beautiful top with great grain and fabulous color gradient in a great “Tangerine Burst”. Its aging was carried out by none other than the legendary aging master Tom Murphy, who faithfully recreated the appearance of the original with the characteristic signs of use and wear. Every dent, every notch and even the worn varnish on the back have been faithfully replicated here. The neck with its 60's Slim Taper profile sits perfectly in the hand and plays excellently in combination with the slightly higher frets. The specially wound Alnico-III Custombuckers perfectly reproduce the sound of Joe Walsh's legendary Burst. Extremely full of character, dynamic, clean as well as distorted and with singing lead sounds convincing across the board. Great response and it is a huge pleasure to work with the tone. The fact that this gem has also been signed by the legendary Eagles guitarist himself is not only the proverbial “icing on the cake”, but also guarantees the very best value retention. We are delighted to be able to offer you this exclusive Les Paul in top condition.incl. original case, certificate, hangtagsweight: 4075 gramssubject to differential taxation
