Another big winner here - a bitchin 1957 Fender Stratocaster that weighs in at just 6 pounds, 15 ounces.  This is a fantastic example of the incredibly desirable '57 Strat that sounds absolutely out of this world and has the iconic, strong V shaped neck available only in 1957 and very early 58.  It is a killer player. The body dates to 9-57, the consummate 57 V neck to 10-57, and the pots to the 23rd week of 57.  There are no finish changes, no routes in the body, no extra holes in the body or neck - no major/destructive changes.The hardware, plastic, all the screws, the string tree, tuners, strap buttons, knobs - all are original.   The only disturbed solders are those on the replacement 5-way switch.  The original switch is in the case.The frets were changed to medium jumbos.  There are two sets of frets in the case.  One of them is original.  I'm not certain why there are two sets however.  The nut was changed when the frets were professionally replaced.  The original is in the case. Also in the case is the original backplate and screws, the original whammy bar, an apparently original strap, and an old set of Fender strings.The original case has the original Fender logo badge, something you'll only see on Fenders from 1957.\Mahar's Vintage Guitars is a brick-and-mortar and web-based retailer.
