Tobacco Sunburst, an optional finish back in the day. These narrow field mini humbuckers are getting respect. Sitting between a single coil strat and a big humbucker they have more punch and thump than a strat yet less bass than a normal humbucker. It sounds crisp and hum free, less muddy so you can better blend in and be heard on a a multi guitar stage. The standard colors were Cherry Sunburst or Gold. The optional color was Tobacco Burst and the custom color was Natural. So like Gibson acoustics there is a little more excitement with the more 50’s flavor of dark brown sunburst. The original finish was bursted eleven times with five separate sunbursts on the headstock alone. In todays cost cutting corporate world you’d get fired for taking all the extra time. This one is clean. Has some nice wood grain in the maple neck. The neck is very comfortable, medium depth and 1 11/16” nut width. It has new knobs, pots and guard. The original cracked knobs, pots and pickguard are in the original hard case.
