Possessing a soundboard of Redwood allows for unparalleled responsiveness across the tonal spectrum.  By putting it to use on a Jazzmaster, the result is a warm, rich sound.  The Roasted Quartersawn Maple neck perfectly matches the body.  The 62 Jazzmaster neck has a great feel - not too fat and easy to play.  It runs .820" at the 1st fret to .900" at the 12th fret.  This creates a super comfortable neck.  Topped by a AAA rosewood fretboard, it also has the modern touch of a 9.5" radius and 6105 (narrow tall) frets. It's not all about the aesthetics and woods though - this is an amazing sounding guitar.  Featuring two Josefina Campos handwound vintage Jazzmaster pickups, it can have that raunchy, growly and aggressive tone when needed, but with enough warmth and woodiness that it never sounds harsh.  In all pickup positions, the high notes have a clear, pure, crystalline quality.  Full chords also have incredible jangle and sparkle. The midrange has plenty of bite in the bridge position, and it has a broader, throatier quality in the neck position. The lows sound defined and powerful in both positions, and the neck pickup has satisfying oomph to really push it.  Also featured on this guitar is the RSD Jazzmaster bridge, designed by Scott Buehl (Masterbuilder and metal magician at the Custom Shop), for improved intonation and stability.  This has become a favorite for offset players and we include it on almost every Custom Shop Jazzmaster we do.  The guitar is rounded out with period correct vintage tuners, tring tree, neck plate and other hardware.  Dennis picked a tortoise shell pickguard that perfectly matches the guitar.  It comes with a Custom Shop hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity. A Masterbuilt instrument is like no other, and this is truly a one of a kind.  Dennis is one of our favorite builders, especially for exotic wood builds - we feel that it's part of his specialty.  Come to Truetone Music to see it yourself, or order it right here right now. About the builder:  Dennis Galuszka began building high-end acoustic guitars during his 13 years as a cabinetmaker, combining his passions for music and woodworking. As a self-taught drummer, it was a fateful audition with one of the Fender master builders that led to a job interview (and a steady gig). Hired as an apprentice, he was promoted to master builder in 1999. Galuszka has since built instruments for many influential players, including country legend Buck Owens and jazz master Robben Ford. Specs:Part # 9213000573Serial # R135414Weight: 7.3 lbsFinish Package: NOSColor: NaturalFinish: Nitro Lacquer; No BuffingBody: Reclaimed Redwood (Santa Cruz Boardwalk)Neck: Roasted Quartersawn MapleFretboard: AAA Rosewood (slab)Neck Shape:  '62 JazzmasterDepth at 1st Fret: .820"Depth at 12th Fret: .900"1.650" Nut Width; 2.200" Butt Width9.50" radiusFrets: Narrow Tall (6105)Bone NutMicarta White Dots; Wide SpacingNote: '59 Jazzmaster DecalTuners: VintageBridge: RSD JazzmasterPickups: Custom Shop Josefina Handwound Vintage JazzmasterPickguard: Nitro Tortoise ShellCustom Shop Hardshell case with Certificate of Authenticity and Strap
