Now available, a mid-late 1965 Fender Stratocaster in its original custom colour Olympic White finish! This transitional guitar still has the L plate and small headstock, however features pearl dot inlays on an Indian rosewood fingerboard, and a 3ply white ABS plastic pickguard. The original duco Olympic White finish shows some buckle rash and finish wear through the faded clearcoat, however the finish is in overall great shape on the body and on the neck. The original frets play surprisingly well despite some wear of course, and the nut has been replaced (original nut in the case). The previous owner used this instrument on tour for the last few years and had another set of pickups and wiring harness installed. This has since been reverted back to its original grey bottom pickups and wiring harness with solder touchup at the input jack only. The only other note is the 3-way switch appears undisturbed, however dates to earlier in the 1960s.Other than a replaced nut, this guitar retains all of its original plastics and hardware. The neck date is September, which is concurrent with the original CTS pots dating to the 10th week of 1965, and grey bobbin pickups dating to October.A great playing and sounding '65 custom colour Fender Stratocaster, includes its original no-logo black tolex case, original bridge cover, backplate, and a reissue tremolo arm (original tip).Call/email for FREE Australia wide shipping.Shipped Worldwide!
