Is there such thing as a nice AND affordable vintage Stratocaster? Yes!
Presenting Serial #7673742, a nearly 50 year old guitar still wearing its original sunburst finish (with just the right amount of "mojo") along with its original date-stamped maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, both in excellent condition.
The previous owner was a working guitarist/vocalist/songwriter who acquired the guitar more than 20 years ago and regularly played (and clearly cared for) the guitar. Its overall condition today is Very Good. The action is excellent. Guessing that the it was refretted at some point as the frets appear virtually unblemished.
Not uncommon in that era, at some point the body was adapted to fit a humbucker pickup at the bridge (see photos) as well as non-factory tuners. However, the guitar has since been restored to original specs with two of its original pickups, date-stamped 1976, and an era-correct Strat bridge pickup. Correct tuners are also back on the guitar. It has its original tremelo bridge (with arm) and plays beautifully up and down the neck
More than just a great vintage look and vibe though, #7673742 projects that crisp vintage Stratocaster sound.
BONUS: At only 8 1/2 lbs., the guitar is relatively light for the era making it comfortable to play at length.
The sale includes its original period-correct case in remarkably nice condition and Fender guitar strap.
Can't imagine how these terrific vintage Fenders will not continue to appreciate over time.
