Up for sale is a very special Kalos Full Hollow. This guitar is the sister guitar to Mihali's Coco Kalos used in Twiddle. This has been my personal guitar since it was completed in 2020. It's time for something new for me and I'd like to move this one to a good home. The Kalos Full Hollow represents the top of the DGN line. This particular Kalos represents the upper reaches of the Full Hollow line and is extra special as it's constructed entirely of Cocobolo wood. To date I've only done 4 full cocobolo guitars total and there will be no more of them. The rim was cut from a single 13.5" wide 2" thick board. The top and back feature incredible sap wood centers that give this guitar great character and a super cool look. The neck is a single piece of quarter sawn cocobolo. This guitar is truly one of a kind. Materials in these dimensions simply aren't around anymore or come at a crazy high cost. The wooden hardware parts are the only pieces of the guitar that aren't made from cocobolo. I used highly flamed maple that was ebonized to give the pickup rings, tailpiece, bridge and truss rod cover a contrasting look that blends well with the cocobolo body and neck. This guitar is extremely resonant and warm when plugged in. It features a Pair of my Tru-PAF Humbuckers and a JGS single coil pickup in the middle. The controls allow just about any tone you could dream up and the 6-Way Toggle Switch gives you every pickup combination with the exception of all 3 at the same time. The mini toggles are Blaster On/Off, Hum Coil Taps, and Hum Series (Trey Style Wiring). The Middle pickup and Blaster On is Jerry All day Long. Turn the blaster off and switch to the hums for Trey Tones. Middle and Bridge (tapped) for Spanky strat type tones. The varieties are almost endless. This guitar is in 9 out of 10 condition and was always taken care of, never abused and played lovingly. The high gloss Nitrocellulose finish looks fantastic. There is a slight wear spot on the tailpiece where my palm made contact while playing. There is also some normal wear on the pickup covers from playing. There are no chips dings scratches of any sort.
