This build features the very rare offering of Ancient Bog Oak for the back and sides paired with a Red Cedar top with Koa contoured arm bevel and bindings. The master grade Bog Oak here from Lowden is dated to over 5,300 years old! The Oak was harvested from a peat bog in the UK and has been submerged in complete darkness for thousands of years. The beginning stages of fossilization and the sediment give it this rare black hue, very similiar to African Blackwood. The wood has aged over millenia to become and extremely dense yet highly vibrant tone wood that is amazing to behold.
