Description

Up for sale is an absolutely incredible and extremely clean 1945 Martin D-18 in its original natural finish. We have nick-named this guitar the "California Ave D-18" as it has spent the last 20-30 years of its life hidden away just down the street from our shop. Looking over this guitar in detail it black-lights clean and evenly throughout the entire neck and body, there is very little areas of finish wear and there are no signs of cracks on the top back or sides. There is a small scratch on the treble side of the top which could be a faint hairline crack but does not seem to go through the wood. The tuning gears are old but I do not believe they are original to the guitar. When we received this guitar it was in need of some work which was performed by Jeff Hoppe of South Sound Guitar Repair. Repairs included a neck reset, new bone saddle and bridge re-glue. This D-18 is now playing and sounding better than ever. Comes complete with a non original modern hard case. Weight: 3lbs. 12oz.
