It is a featherweight 8.0 pounds even!Gibson Custom Shop's 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard is not just a tribute to those priceless original models -- it's a clone of them. Every element has been rendered in unbelievable detail, from laser-scanned dimensions to chemically-recreated plastics to color-matched shades of sunburst. It represents the culmination of decades of work by Custom Shop's expert team -- a tireless quest to bring accuracy and authenticity to the hands of fans. It’s the definition of cool, and it's the best representation of the 1959 Les Paul Standard since the Gibson Custom Shop began making Historic Reissues in 1993.ABOUT THIS GUITARI acquired this guitar from its first owner, and it has been in a smoke and pet-free home. It has never been gigged, and the frets are in great condition. The guitar is in mint condition, other than the factory VOS treatment. (Read more below). The flame top on this guitar is unbelievable and it's got amazing 3D movement from every angle. The guitar comes with OHSC, COA, and all case candy.The original owner swapped out the 60th Anniversary CustomBuckers that were stock to the guitar, and replaced them with Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro hand-wound by MJ in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop. (MJ is the SDCS pro who handwinds all of Slash's pickups.) I am having the 60th Anniversary Custom Buckers (with original stock covers) reinstalled but they are not pictured. The neck is the quintessential 1959 neck. It has a medium C shape and is super balanced. Feels great in the hands!GUITAR FINISHThe finish is a Golden Poppy VOS. VOS stands for Vintage Original Sheen and is a guitar finish Gibson uses on their Custom Shop Reissue models. The finish gives the guitar a gently aged appearance with a lightly dulled gloss nitrocellulose finish and some patina on the hardware. The parts are also lightly aged to create an authentic vintage patina, and the finish is buffed to a light matte appearance. You'll see swirls and light aging marks.SHIPPINGThe guitar will be shipped via UPS ground (3-day service) in the continental U.S. only, and the guitar will be fully insured for the total pre-tax purchase price.
