The rare Ducati 1098R, in its day represented one of the most technically advanced sports bikes on the road. Built in very limited numbers to allow Ducati to go racing in the World Superbike Championship, the 1098R represented the closest derviative of it race bike cousin moreso than any other R variant before or since. It was the first time a full traction control system had been fitted to a road bike, something we now assume to be standard. Other top line features were standard carbon belly pan, Ohlins suspension, Brembo Monoblock calipers, Marchesini forged wheels the list goes on.
