The 928 GT also differed from the 928 S4 with rolled wheel arches, a lightened twin outlet exhaust system, a short shift gear lever in the 91MY 928 GT, different air intakes - same as GTS, unique GT camshafts, a short ratio five-speed manual gearbox and 17mm rear wheel spacers. Production of both the S4 and GT finished at the end of the 1991 model year, making way for the final version of the 928, the Porsche 928 GTS. This lovely, and extremely rare right hand drive Porsche 928 GT - Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ92ZMS800266 - Engine No: 85M00568 was supplied new by official Porsche Centre Parker & Parker Ltd in Kendall, Cumbria and first registered on the 8th May 1991 with the number plate H366 EEC. It is finished in its original colour scheme of Midnight Blue (L37W) with a Linen ruffled Leather interior piped in Blue, Blue carpets, 4957cc V8 Engine, Five Speed Gearbox, Power Assisted Steering, Air Conditioning, Electric Windows and Sun Roof and 7 Spoke Club Sport Alloy Wheels and it comes with the personal number plate OUI 3928. The previous owner purchased the car in 2007 and spent well over £25,000 on the car during his 15 years of ownership including a full Engine rebuild in 2011 by renowned 928 specialist Paul Lacey - http://paullacey.org.uk/index.htm - who has very kindly given us the following information + a series of photographs which are shown in our photo's: 1. Composite head gaskets used (a weak point in all 928 engines) 2. All new bearings, rings, water pump, cambelt, cam chains etc etc 3. High tensile head studs used rather than bolts (expensive but much better than the standard stretch bolts) 4. Cam timing done within +/- 1 degree 5. Calibrated MAF supplied by JDS Porsche 6. SPEC clutch fitted 7. The car is custom tuned (both ECU’s) using SharkTuner by myself. From experience it will be close to 350 BHP although has not been on dyno to confirm. This rebuild was carried out at 153,000 miles and it has covered approximately 4,000 miles since and now 157,000 in total from new. The Digital instrument panel was also replaced in 2019 @ 156K miles due to an electrical fault and was duly replaced with a rare secondhand unit for a Manual car, hence the speedometer now reads 52,096 miles. The current owner purchased the car in April 2022 and he has spent a further £21,500 on the car including £6,300 with Porsche specialist's Cridfords in Ewhurst, Surrey and most recently with £15,175 with Nine Excellence in January 2024 for a new Camshaft and associated parts, Service, new MOT, A/C re-Gas, new Wipers, new Brake Lines, Fuel lines, re-connolising the complete interior, body/chassis/sill/repairs + detailing and painting and a paintwork ceramic coating and more. It comes with a superb history file including a ring binder full of invoices and receipts and information, ownership history and correspondence + its original Porsche Leather wallet, Maintenance Book and Handbook, 2 keys, original tool kit, compressor, space-saver spare wheel and car cover. It presents itself in top condition and really does drive superbly. The Private Number Plate OUI 3928 is included in the sale. Although other 928 models were available in both automatic and manual, the GT was only produced in manual and is one of the rarest of all the 928 models with just 2,078 cars produced and this car is believed to be one of only 38 right hand drive Manual 928 GT's supplied to the UK market, making it one of the rarest Porsche's that any collector or enthusiast could own. Upon sale the car will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required. Car on Display @ our showrooms.
