0 Previous Owners, This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2024 - Cars on Saturday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. , The Vantage name has long been synonymous with more extreme performance Aston Martins since the 1950s, so its entirely appropriate that the Vantage AMR was the first series production derivative of Aston Martins new race-inspired performance range. Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, AMR amplified and accentuated the sporting prowess of the British marques road cars, by taking inspiration or direct influence from Aston Martin Racings participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship.Launched to coincide with the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours, where propitiously Aston Martin Racing secured victory in the GTE Class, AML unveiled what became the final production derivative of the VH2 V8 Vantage, the 'V8 Vantage AMR'. It was powered by a 430bhp, normally-aspirated, 4,735cc V8 engine and was available with either the Sportshift III or 6-speed manual transmission. Production of the V8 Vantage AMR coupe and Roadster began in the final quarter of 2017 and was limited to just 200 examples (300 if you include the 100 V12 Vantage AMRs). This example is 001 of the 200 UK right-hand drive V8 AMR coups built and one of just 38 with the manual gearbox.Vantage AMRs were available in four bespoke exterior schemes and in addition the AMR Halo Pack took direct inspiration from Aston Martin Racings 2016 World Endurance Championship-winning 95 Vantage GTE, working a combination of Stirling Green paint and vivid Lime Green accents to dramatic effect. As a finishing touch, a special Union Jack enamelled AML wings badge, previously featured on the GTE racer, was available as a no-cost option. This spectacular collectors example, supplied by Aston Martin of Hatfield, is indeed finished in Stirling Green with Lime Green accents over a fabulous tan leather and Black Alcantara interior. Although well specified, it's also been optioned with an Alcantara steering wheel, Carbon Fibre Aerokit, side strakes and rear bumper and fitted with an £8,000 full titanium bespoke exhaust system which sounds epic. There is a set of bespoke luggage, finished in matching black and tan, which we understand has never been used. Having been owned by its one and only keeper and showing just over 580 miles, the AMR has been maintained by Aston directly, was serviced earlier this year and is therefore ready to go to its second home. It's supplied with the dealer book pack containing the official handbook and stamped service book along with some invoices. To make an already special car even more special, the engine-bay struts have been signed by the Le Mans GTE Class-winning drivers from 2017, Darren Turner and Jonathon Adam, who also donated a framed celebration shirtsigned by them. From single ownership and just 586 miles from new, 001 is undoubtedly a very desirable motor car and would grace any Collection of significant Astons.
