Le Mans Coupes are delighted to welcome GT40P/2349 back to market. Fords all conquering GT40 is synonymous with Le Mans having taken overall victory in 1966 through 1969 inclusive. Arguably the most iconic of these enduro champions is GT40P/ 1075 having won in both 1968 and 1969 despite the sharp competition. As such, with the Le Mans Classic fast approaching and the centenary of the worlds most famous race looming, now is the perfect opportunity to live the Le Mans dream and take your very own GT40 to Le Mans. GT40P/ 2349 is a continuation GT40 built by Superformance under licence from Safir and Shelby World Registry eligible. This car is a GT40 in its own right - factory built to the original drawings only with subtle moderations allowing for comfort on the modern road. The introduction of air conditioning is most welcome and modernised suspension and brakes mean the GT40 is well equip to handle both road and track. Further, with injection replacing carburettors (in function not aesthetic) you get modern performance advantages too. The Borla 8 stack injection perfectly mirrors the Webber carbs with the added bonuses of an injected engine. Offered in the heritage livery there is little else on the market today that offers such close links to Le Mans that can be driven on the road in such an engaging and rewarding way... the ultimate Le Mans Classic car. New build orders are at a record high as the market sees demand revert back to proper drivers cars; manual, visceral, exciting cars which reward driving rather than seek to drive for you and dilute the driving purity. As such, lead times are the longest they have been for several years so GT40P/ 2349 offers not only the most cost effective way to GT40 ownership but also the fastest.
