Description

2 Previous Owners, This lot will be auctioned via Historics Classic and Sportscar Auctioneers, Farnborough International Exhibition Centre sale on Saturday the 11th of May, GU14 6TQ. Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DB6 Mk. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the nicest looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupe body and powerful six-cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all-alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335 bhp 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight-cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. Regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. This right-hand drive, early production pre-air bag example has covered a mere 3,583 miles from new and, as one would expect with such a low mileage, can only be described as in excellent condition throughout. Finished in the desirable launch colour scheme of Chiltern Green complemented by a Parchment and Forest hide interior. Still wearing its rare wheel discs, Sony radio CD and original AML number plate. This lovely DB7 has had three owners from new the first owner took delivery on the 1st July 1995 but did not register the car until the beginning of 1996, he kept the car for ten years before it was sold to the second registered keeper in May 2015 with 3,196 miles on the odometer. He kept the car for a year putting only a few miles on it before selling the car a year later. The current owner purchased it in March 2016 to put into his private collection. In March 2017 the car was taken to HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames where it was serviced and passed an MoT after a couple of minor repairs and a new battery fitted at that service the odometer was reading 3,408 miles. Sometime between the purchase and this service the tyres were renewed. It went back to HWM in 2018 for service and MoT at 3,503 miles. Since then it has been serviced, maintained and MoTd by Universal Classic Cars in Hampshire the following times:18th March 2019 Major Service 3,540 miles17th June 2020 Annual Service 3,558 miles10th June 2021 Annual Service 3,568 miles8th June 2022 Annual Service 3,568 miles (Please note that the MoT Station is only 200 meters from where the car is stored).5th July 2023 MoT test 3,571 miles31st October 2023 Annual Service.9th April 2024 The car was viewed by a Historics representative and the odometer was reading 3,583 miles. This lovely Aston Martin DB7 is supplied with a V5C document, an MoT certificate valid until July 2024 and a history file including the original warranty card, bill of sale, purchase correspondence and all related brochures and books with some instruction manuals. A highly collectable motor car and a fantastic addition to any Aston collection.Consigned by: John Tomlin
