This 996.1 Carrera 2 previously raced in the Porsche Club Championship and is believed to have won the championship. More recently, the car has been used for track days and could be driven on the road. The car initially built by Strasse was built to win races rather than beauty pageants, which is noticeable when behind the wheel out on track. Surprisingly, it can keep up with its modern counterparts when driven fast. The car recently had an engine rebuild, including the gearbox with a new second gear. New Mahle Motorsport 3.6 barrels and pistons, a new TTV flywheel and clutch have been fitted. The car is equipped with adjustable Proflex shock absorbers. Safety equipment is outdated for racing but perfectly usable for track or road use. The vehicle also comes with a spare set of wheels if required.
