3 volumes. Hardcover. Full leather in good condition, with raised cords, faded gold decoration and gold emblems on the covers. All 3 bindings are tight at attractive, through title labels (if there were any) on the spine are missing, leaving blindstamped titles on the spines. Texts blocks complete and tight. This is an attractive binding. Bookplates on the inside front covers of all three volumes with coat of arms and the name Julia Rebecca Bockett. Her name signed in pen on the second blank page of each volume, dated '1st January 1820.' Volume 1 has xxxiii + 298 pages (actually more pages due to the misprinted page numbers, but the final printed page is numbered 298). Volume 2 has 327 pages. Volume 3 has 371 pages. A single leaf (page 129/130) is detached and laid back into place. Publisher's imprint on the final numbered page of each volume. A few plates have been added, from later editions. In volume 1, there is a plate dated 1830 opposite page 18 and a plate dated 1833 opposite page 146. In volume 2 there is a plate dated 1824 opposite page 35 and a plate dated 1830 opposite page 175. In volume 3 there is a plate dated 1830 opposite page 128 and a plate dated 1824 opposite page 176 and an undated plate opposite page 368. This set has no ads at the end of volume 3, but has all the rest of the first printing points: Title page of Vol. I, the "!" is over the "or" in the name "Prior." In volume 1, the pagination runs up to page 158, then jumps back down to 151, 152, 153, etc until the end. Page 296, line 11 ends with an apostrophe instead of a close-quote. Volume 3, page 187, line 17, the word printed is 'frequent.' Half-title pages present.
