[144pp, guarded frontis, errata slip tipped to p1]: viii, 136; gilt purple linen, jacket (6s net, on flap); 209 x 136 x 20 mm. First complete edition of the poet's first book (preceded by Sassoon's edition of 1920); "a new edition including many pieces now first published, and notices of his life and work by Edmund Blunden". The memoir by Blunden concludes with the author's notes for a Preface; while the volume includes an Appendix of reminiscences by Frank Nicholson. Beautifully executed on Abbey Mills Greenfield mould-made stock (with deckles retained), a most handsome production. A superior copy, tight & clean save for ink name neat on ffe. The cream jacket is very slightly dusty with modest edge-wear. Exceptionally scarce in nice jacket.
