Book condition: Good with rubbed and bumped edges, light soiling and inch tears in spine ends, leather delicately remaining. Old notes on verso of front free endsheet. Light stains around edges of first and last several pages. Ownership inscription in pencil on advertisement page, which is detached along with first page of Introduction. Text block is loose but holding well by adequate cords. Pages are mostly clean with light foxing and two inch closed tears in the fore edges of pages 259 - 262.

The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter Day Saint movement, which adherents believe contains writings of ancient prophets who lived on the American continent from approximately 2600 BC to AD 421. It was first published by Joseph Smith in 1830.
