A very impressive example of the 1758 1st John Baskerville edition, complete in 2 volumes. Both volumes tight and VG+ in their handsome late 18th-early 19th century full calf. 5 raised bands along each spine, fine gilt-tooling within the compartments, bright gilt-letterered title and author labels. Just a touch of light scuffing at the panels, very light rubbing along the spine bases. Elegant armorial bookplate to each front pastedown, otherwise very clean internally, with only light, infrequent foxing. Octavos, lovely matching marbled endpapers.
