Recently re-bound in red half morocco, with raised bands, gilt titles to spine, and marbled paper over boards. Typographic bookplate of Richard V. Lee to front pastedown. Light toning and spotting to edges and half-title, otherwise internally clean. Corners bumped, and a little light wear to binding. Very good. Winston Churchill's first volume of autobiography, covering his years as a soldier and correspondent, which "remains his most beloved and engaging volume" (Churchill Centre).
