Clean interior with frontispiece of author and xi, 941 pages. Signed by author on first title page - 'by W Somerset Maugham' and' for Cynthia's Uncle Willi'- provenance the property of the late author and by descent of his family. This new edition (reset), price7/6, was published in 1934 and is in very good condition, and signed/inscribed by the author.
