Alfred A Knopf, New York 1929. 7.75"x5.5", 1-8+1-270pp - First edition, hardcover in red cloth, title and author with design in black and yellow stamped on the spine, front cover with black border anda a skull and crossbones stamped in the yellow. Top corner on rear cover is bumped with the other 3 corners in perfect condition. Inside pages are clean with no markings or tears. Front and back free end papers are marked (see photo) Top edge is a faded green. The unclipped dust jacket is chipped top and bottom, top edge lightly browned. This dust jacket shows very well with no attempts at restoration or repair. Comes in a custom fitted folding box. This is a very collectible volume of the author's hard to find first book.
