Description

Stated First American Edition; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. An outstanding copy of this classic work of 20th century literature. Although not the true first edition (the US first was preceded by the UK edition), this edition appears to be much more scarce in the marketplace, particularly in collectible condition. This volume is in near fine condition with clean red boards and bright spine lettering, a crisp tight binding, and clean white pages; the book does show some very light rubbing to the spine ends and corners, and a PO name to the front free paper, else fine. Housed in a clean and crisp very good dust jacket which shows some minor rubbing and creasing to the ends, edges, and corners; mild sunning to the spine, and a couple of short closed tears, one to the spine foot and one to the top of the back panel, else near fine or better. Overall, a highly collectible and presentable copy of a title hard to find in this condition. Not remaindered, not price clipped ($3.95 intact), and not ex-library; in archival protection and shipped in a sturdy box.
