Very Good. 463 pp. First edition of this second German translation overall of The Theory of Moral Sentiments made from the fifth English edition; no other German translation was published until 1926. Contemporary calf over speckled boards. Very Good. Binding lightly rubbed and marked, spine with two small paper shelf tickets. Upper joint started but binding remains firm. Pages a little toned and with occasional foxing.
