Russell Flint; crushed red morocco by Bayntun (Riviere), panels ruled in gilt, gilt spine in 6 compartments, top-edge gilt, others uncut, a few trifling marks to boards, slight spotting to fore-edge, otherwise internally clean, near fine. An excellent set of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, illustrated with 36 tipped-in colour-plates after original drawings by Scottish artist William Russell Flint (1880-1969), bound in crushed red morocco gilt by Bayntun (Riviere).

The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 24 stories that runs to over 17,000 lines written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer between 1387 and 1400.
