First American edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's canary yellow cloth lettered in green. Very Good with slight lean to binding and minor wear to extremities, staining to rear board. Endsheets lightly soiled and offset, with damp stain along bottom edge of rear end sheets and final page gathering. Agatha Christie's thirteenth work in the Hercule Poirot series and is often considered one of her best. Later adapted by the BBC into a short television series starring John Malkovich as an aging Poirot.
