Publisher's maroon cloth with gilt titles to spine, upper cover with colour illustration plate by Jason Cockroft, boldly signed by the artist, burgundy endpapers, all edges gilt. Fine, as manufactured, with production issues; the contents are misbound, without prelims, one blank at the front and rear, one text page duplicated. The text initially reads backwards, beginning at p.766-737. It continues forwards from pp.33-766. The backwards section 750-739 is not sewn in. This anomaly avoided quality control and should have been pulped. It has since been signed by the artist. One for the Harry Potter completist.
