Very fine quarter green morocco leather bindings by Asprey & Co. of London. Marbled boards, top page edges gilt. Spines have five raised bands with gilt lettering and ornaments to compartments. Very slight fading to spines, slight marking to leather on rear board of Sense and Sensibility, bindings are otherwise in first class condition with no wear or rubbing. A couple of light marks to page edges. Internally the books are in excellent condition and appear unread - very clean pages and no inscriptions. First printing of Dent's 1950 new edition, each volume containing 16 colour illustrations by Brock taken from Dent's 1907-1909 edition. A handsome set in very desirable Asprey bindings.
