First edition, first printing As stated 1962 on the copyright page. A seminal book by the noted author which was composed in 1961 in less than two weeks. Near fine blue marbled cloth with black spine and gilt titles in like dust jacket. Design by Janet Halverson. The usual fade to top blue corner of the block. Includes the magnificent "C" poem. The page four of the text is printing in full on the back cover and is a wonderful highlight to the design. Bright cover with just the lightest use and just a touch of age tone.
