First Edition, First Printing with ALL the First Issue points "There is NO award medal sticker on the front panel of the dust jacket, the front flap has the correct $3.50 printed price with the code 40-80 printed on the bottom flap, the lower corner of front flap is clipped as in all copies but the 1163 is present indicating that the book was published November 1963, the dust jacket front flap has the correct three paragraph blurbs about the book and the back flap of the dustjacket has three paragraph blurbs about the author, and the library congress number 63-21253 is printed on the title page." A wonderful copy that has light staining to the bottom edges of the dustjacket and light wear to the panels. The book is in great shape with minor wear to the boards. The pages are clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the book. Overall, a lovely copy with the ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE dustjacket in collector's condition. We buy Sendak First Editions.

The book tells the story of Max, a young boy who dresses up as a wolf and uses his imagination to travel to a wild forest where he meets creatures called Wild Things.
