Signed and dated by Vonnegut on the front cover verso. Stated first printing- February 1962. Gold Medal Books s1191. Volume in VG condition- seemingly unread- spine uncreased (except for front cover, which opens easily, apparently from repeated viewings of the signature). Slight forward lean. Small scuffs (1/8") to front panel resulting in surface loss of two small patches of the top layer of the panel at top near binding and at bottom corner. 1 3/4" horizontal scratch at top of front panel from the scuff toward outer edge. 1/2" stain on bottom edge at binding. Minor edge wear to head and foot of spine. Light soiling of panels. One leaf (p. 101/102) has a wrinkle crease (1 1/2"x 1") at the outer edge near the top. Book has mustyish smell about it. Book acquired from a friend of Vonnegut's in the last years of his life.
