Handsomely re-bound in full leather by Riviere & Sons. 12mo (4 5/8 x 7") rich blue morocco with gilt double rules to board edges, gilt lettered spine, 5 raised spine bands, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers and ornate gilt inner dentelles. Half title present and one-page ad for A Child's Garden of Verses at rear, as called for. Also with rear cover from the original wrapper, which is showing a large chip at bottom corner, bound in (front of wrapper not present). [Beineke 349, Grolier 75a, Prideaux 17]. Armorial, engraved bookplate of Gordon Hartley by S. C. Malone to front pastedown. Near fine with inconspicuous expert repair and touch up to inner and outer hinges which are a little tender.
