First edition, first impression, a remarkably fresh copy. Just over a year after the first book in the Harry Potter series was published, Bloomsbury released Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on 2 July 1998. The print-run as confirmed by the publisher, after consultation with the printer, was only 706 copies. However, other sources suggest that 10,150 copies were released to an expectant public in the UK. Harry Potter was, as yet, unavailable in the US.
Octavo. Original matt laminated printed boards, spine and front cover lettered in white, green, blue, black, and red. With dust jacket.
Tiny bump to foot of rear board; trivial scratch to rear panel of unclipped jacket: a fine copy in like jacket.
