A first state of the first edition of this literary classic. Black boards with gold lettering on the spine. 16s price on the front flap. Very, very mild wear at two or three spots along the top edge of the DJ and at the corners. Light foxing inside the flaps. Foxing along the top of the pages and very light foxing on the FEPs and following blank pages. The description gives more weight to the flaws than does their appearance. A very nice copy.

A Clockwork Orange is a dystopian novel by English writer Anthony Burgess, published in 1962. It is set in a near-future society that has a youth subculture of extreme violence. The teenage protagonist, Alex, narrates his violent exploits and his experiences with state authorities intent on reforming him.
