Goldstone & Payne, A-2d. Published in May of 1933, before Cup of Gold was issued in Great Britain in 1937, thus being the first of Steinbeck's works to appear in England. Very rare. Edges untrimmed and unstained. The page ends and the edges are browning as is usually seen. This rare Steinbeck British first has just been newly rebound in dark brown morocco & fine tan cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt, 5 raised bands, marbled endpapers. No internal marks, names or writing. Very collectible. None available anywhere like this one. Size: 12mo - over 6�" - 7�" tall.
