Illustrated small vignettes and 28 mounted colour plates with captioned tissue guards.Publisherswhite vellum embossed elaborately with gilt decoration, top edge gilt others untrimmed.Lacking silk ties, so marks to front/rear covers where the clips were.Tiny l booksellers sticker to front inside board.Tight and generally very clean internally, just the ocasional fox marks.Dust has collected to text block, leaving browning.Also the inevitable browning to front and rear end papers.The boards are grubby but I think would clean up well with some restoration.
