King Solomon's Mines is a novel by the English writer H. Rider Haggard, first published in 1885. It is one of the first English adventure novels set in Africa, and is considered to be the genesis of the 'Lost World' literary genre.

Look for the publisher Cassell & Company, published in 1885 with the listing of 'The New and Popular Novels, at all the Libraries' in the advertisements in the back, as well as no mention of other works by Haggard.
