Photoplay Edition with Frontispiece and illustrations from the silent film. First Edition, thus. Publisher's orange cloth boards with the front and spine lettered in black. A Fine copy with a hint of spine lean, some toning, bookseller pencils and mild foxing to end papers. Mylar protected jacket has darkened along spine and edges, with some minor edge wear, primarily at spine ends. Though the copyright page states 1924, this photoplay edition was produced in 1927 to promote the release of the silent film of the same title. The ads on page 335 only list 25 Burroughs titles. Jacket advertises 16 Burroughs novels on the rear panel and 18 Burroughs novels on the inner surface.
