Contains the 2nd edition of Paradise Lost, 1674, and the 1st edition of Paradise Regained, 1671, but lacking Samson Agonistes. Paradise Regained is a first issue edition, first issue, with "loah" on p. 67, line 2. With previous owner's bookplate attached to front paste-down. Book very good. Some writing on verso of 2nd front free end paper in regards of the 2nd edition of this book. Paper tape on 2nd front free end paper at binding. Page between two books cut out. Front and rear gutters are cracking. Housed in a custom-made foldout case.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton. The first version, published in 1667, consisted of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse.
