This is a scarce copy, in the same pictorial binding as the Macmillan July 1903 First Edition, but in Blue ribbed cloth rather than Green. The Macmillan Logo is on the back of the half-title page. Complete with 18 Full-Page Plates by Philip R. Goodwin and Charles Livingston Buck. Blue ribbed cloth cover with Bright Gilt Lettering and Red, White & Black vignette illustrations of a Sled Dog Team, on front and spine (3 pictures on front and one on spine. Endpapers illustrated with Mountain Landscape and Sled Dog Team. Vignette illus. Headpiece at beginning of text and Tailpiece at end of text. Fore and bottom page edges untrimmed. Slight edge wear, mostly at spine ends and tips of corners. 3 initials lightly penciled at top of title page. No other inscriptions.

Published in 1903, The Call of the Wild is a novel by Jack London. The story is set during the Klondike Gold Rush and follows a domesticated dog named Buck, who is stolen from his home and sold into the brutal life of an Alaskan sled dog.
