Publisher's original red cloth, gilt and black stamped spine, front and back covers stamped in black, pale yellow end papers. Color fold out map as frontispiece, additional map on page 27. Scott 4 : Whatmore F3. London: Cassell and Company (1885), 320 pages + 16 page catalog. Nearly Fine with a few spots of soil on cloth, very modest sun darkening to spine, and light wear at spine ends. W. H. Smith embossed stamp to f.f.e., repaired to fold-out map, and repair to front inner joint. Now housed in well made and good looking red cloth book cover in a matching quarter leather slip case with ribbed and gilt lettered spine.
