Publisher's brown cloth, ornately embossed and gilt. Top edges gilt. Minor wear to the spine ends, a small bump to one corner and two small splash marks to the front board of Vol. II. Occasional light paper spotting, mostly to the first and final leaves of each volume, otherwise a very good set of the best edition of this important work. One of 1, 500 sets with a new Preface signed by Ruskin. Illustrated with 53 plates (some coloured) drawn by the author.
