This stunning Folio Society edition is limited to one thousand copies, signed and numbered by the artist on the etching, and thirty Roman numeral copies which are hors commerce. This is #768 of 1000. There are seventeen tipped-in colour plates and numerous b/w drawings by Peter Suart as well as the limited edition etching. Measuring 13" x 9¾", the book has been hand-bound in vellum blocked in 22-carat gold, with vellum tips and Oxford paper sides. The book spine and solander label have been hand-lettered by Stephen Raw. Set in Founders Caslon and printed on Cordier Wove paper, with plates printed on Modigliani Insize Neve. The limited edition etching has been hand-printed under the artist's supervision by the Pauper's Press, London, on Somerset antique velvet 100% cotton mould-made pape.
