Hartwell (1941-2016) was an American literary critic and sci-fi editor who was best known for is work with Signet, Pocket and Tor Books publishers. Bound in publisher's original red cloth-affect board with spine lettered in gilt. Near Fine with faint splaying to boards and faint soiling to top edge. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light rubbing, light toning to spine with the scarce publisher's belly band. A fantastic association copy of Delaney's Joint Nebula Award winner along with Flowers for Algernon. Winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 1967.
