A Three Vols. set of 'The Gormenghast' Trilogy. All three volumes are The First UK Printings published by Eyre & Spottiswoode, London. They are all free from inscriptions and erasures. All three Mervyn Peake designed wrappers are protected in removable Brodart archival wrappers. Vol.1: 'Titus Groan' published in 1946. The BOOK and WRAPPER are in near Fine condition. Light toning to the text block and light pushing at the spine ends. The correct first issue wrapper with no reviews. Light toning to the spine and rear upper cover of the wrapper. A small nick to the upper spine end. Vol.2: 'Gormenghast' published in 1050. The BOOK and WRAPPER are in near fine condition. A little dustiness to the lower text block. Light toning to the spine of the wrapper. Vol.3; 'Titus Alone' published in 1959. The BOOK and WRAPPER are in exceptional fine condition and the book appears unread. Just a hint of fading to the red lettering on the spine but No toning. The nicest copy of this title that we have handled to date.
