This is a very good set in tall Atlas folio in full gilt cream grass cloth as issued, a private press by the Strafford Press, with engravings by Kent, by the Knudson process, as wood engraving with sepia tones, this is the limited edition being set 269 of only 999 sets so produced, signed by the famed artist Rockwell Kent on the colophon leaf at the back of volume, there are TWO volumes, in large folio light wear, else very good plus set, please ask about our original engravings by Kent for this set in come in an additional portfolio, each engraving signed by Kent, the Chaucer with his Moby Dick are the two Kent masterpieces.

The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 24 stories that runs to over 17,000 lines written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer between 1387 and 1400.
